What we collect
The information you enter in the application: your name, address, date of birth, contact details, references, answers, availability, and any resume you upload. We also note which ad or link brought you to the page.
How we use it
Only to review your application, contact you about working with us, and plan schedules. We don't sell it or use it for marketing.
Why we ask for your date of birth
Labor laws treat workers differently by age, and we need to follow them when hiring and scheduling:
- Minimum hiring age. There are rules about hiring anyone under 16.
- Hours. Workers under 18 are limited in how many hours, and which times of day, they're allowed to work.
- Equipment. Younger workers can't use certain kitchen equipment, including some knives, slicers, and fryers.
- Alcohol. We serve beer, wine, and cocktails. North Carolina sets minimum ages for serving alcohol and for bartending, so some positions depend on age.
We use your date of birth only to meet these requirements.
Who can see it
Only our hiring team. Applications are stored with our provider (Google), in a private account only we can access.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it for hiring, including in case another position opens up. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
